I attended a marketing event called Monetization Mastery almost a year and a half ago down in Miami...

I always tell people if you want to change your belief system around money and what's really possible then go to an internet marketing event. When you're surrounded by people who are on the internet making thousands of dollars (and some even tens of thousands) per day it has a way of shifting the way you think about business.

I've also discovered one of the truths about building a businesses online... if you want to make some money then you do it alone. But if you want to build wealth then you build teams.

One of the people that spoke at Monetization Mastery was my guest today, Ben Williams. Ben provided a blueprint on how to outsource tasks and scale pretty much any online business. This process is the X factor between those who make a living and those who are living the life.

In this episode Ben talks about the steps that he took to leave Corporate America while building his business part-time and how he approaches creating extremely profitable businesses online.

In this conversation you'll learn...

The exact steps that he took to transition out of his $30K/year job

The thought process that he uses before building a business online

Why it's critical to systemize tasks in business

How he approaches which outsourcers to use

How he stays focused on the execution of 1 idea at a time

The simplest way to build a profitable online businesses

His biggest challenge as an online entrepreneur

The one thing that he does on a daily basis to insure his success

A few weeks back I attended a networking event here in Atlanta while there I had the pleasure of meeting my guest on today's episode, Austin Distel.

At the age of 24 Austin is a digital entrepreneur who has already created and sold an offline business and launched his own digital agency. As if that's not enough he's also one of the founders of a rapidly growing community of entrepreneurs called The Entrepreneur Alliance.

The Entrepreneur Alliance is an online training hub and community for digital entrepreneurs. Outside of the phenomenal training and transparency of the community one of the distinctions that separates "EA" from other online communities is that they also host live offline events and meet-ups all over the world.

In this conversation Austin talks about his risky decision to drop his major of Dentistry while in college to pursue a degree in marketing. He also talks about how he created his digital agency from nothing and what lead to him helping to create The Entrepreneurial Alliance.

One of the things that Austin and I share in common is that we we're both heavily influenced by Tim  Ferris's book The 4-Hour Work Week, you'll be able to hear Tim Ferris's influence in the way that Austin approaches creating an online business.

In this conversation you'll learn;

  • How to start your own digital agency and earn the trust of new clients quickly
  • The trap that many location independent freelancers fall into that keeps them broke
  • The mindset needed for maintaining focus and avoiding "Shiny Object Syndrome"
  • How to use gut instinct to make business decisions
  • A unique approach to learning and keeping yourself inspired
  • The daily tasks required to run an online business
  • How to develop business relationships and build a network of high level entrepreneurs
  • And much more

Does your career have you feeling uninspired and burnt out?

Have you recently thought about quitting your job and changing careers?

Would you like to know how you can go into any industry and quickly be seen and respected as the go to expert?

If you answered yes to any of those questions then you're going to learn a lot from my guest today. Terri Trespicio is a branding and marketing consultant who helps businesses and entrepreneurs build highly visible brands that stand out dominate the competition.

Terri has an extensive professional resume which includes working as an editor and radio host for Martha Stewart. Contributing as a writer for Huffington Post, The Robb Report, and Jezebel, among others. You can also find her showcasing her talents on The Grant Cardone Network as the host of the show Solopreneur. She is also an in demand speaker recently giving her first Ted Talk that went viral and currently has over 1.3 million views on youtube.

So it's pretty safe to say, if you're interested in growing a brand and getting lots of media attention while doing it then Terri is the person that you talk to to make it happen.

She's now teaching others how to get major media attention and create powerhouse brands with her new course that she co-created with Paula Rizzo called Lights, Camera, Expert.

In this entertaining, inspirational and educational interview Terri and I talked about;

  • Her unexpected transition from the "safe and predictable" world of Corporate America career into the uncertain world of entrepreneurship.

Just a few thoughts that came to me today..

I've been listening to a lot of Grant Cardone lately. If you've

ever listened to this guy then you know how good his

training is...

I'm working on bringing him on for an interview as a matter of

fact. Grant takes the idea of hustling to another level in his

book The 10X Rule.

By the way have you picked it up yet?

One of the biggest ideas that I've picked up from his work is the

idea of what real commitment to an idea is...

That message of commitment is what inspired today's podcast because

its something I've seen create tangible results for not only myself but

also others around me.

Check out today's show and don't forget to subscribe to the podcast on Stitcher and/or iTunes.

The most important skill in life is selling. Most people hate sales but the truth is that we all sell, everyday. If you've ever asked for a job, a loan, a mate.....(I think you get the picture) then you were selling yourself.

In this episode I take a moment to speak with one of the best sales trainers on the planet, Gulliver Giles. In this interivew he gives a unique perspective on selling as an art.

What I enjoyed most about this interview is not only does he share his step by step process but he also shares the mindset behind the process. Gulliver's process for mastering his craft can be applied to anything that you ever want to master in life.

Gulliver has produced over $20,000,000 in profits for his clients over the last 3 years. He has consulted in over 80 different industries. He regularly goes into large corporations and doubles and many times even triples the performance of the sales staff. To give you an idea of how powerful his strategies marketing legends such Frank Kern and Ryan Deiss have personally hired him to train their high ticket sales staffs.

What I learned from Gulliver is that sales is not anything that you do to someone instead it's something that you do for someone. Success comes when you make your personal inteterests secondary to the interests of your clients and prospects.

If you hear something that interests you and you're interested in connecting with Gulliver personally feel free to reach out to him a facebook.

Subscribe to The Dream Chaser Show on iTunes or Sticher Radio

The Dream Chaser Podcast is bought to you by DreamChaserShow.com

Some questions that I ask Gulliver;

  • How does sales parallel with martial arts?
  • What are the secrets to creating breakthroughs in performance?
  • What is the best industry to be in today?
  • What would you do if you only had $500 to start over again
  • What is your sales process?

In this episode you will learn;

  • What creates mastery
  • Why most people don't do well in sales
  • How to instantly put a prospect in a "buying" state
  • How to turn a cold prospect warm in a few seconds
  • The mindset shift that caused him to go from foreclosure to a multiple six figure earner.

How many people do what they want to do in life and how many people sell away their dreams for a “safer” option? Marques Trusoul decided while sitting in a cell that when he got out of jail he was going to do what he wanted to do. When he was released instead of selling out on his dream he decided that he was going to go all out and chase his dream of making movies and becoming a film producer. 6 years later he’s well on his way to becoming one of hottest independent film producers in the industry. If you’ve ever sold out on a dream because you thought it wasn’t realistic you might want to check out this interview.
